What is Coptic Stitching?
Coptic stitching is a method of bookbinding developed by the ancient Copts, a group of Christians in Egypt. This method of stitching dates back to as early as the second century.
What materials do you use to make these books?
The covers are made from "upcycled" mat board, covered in decorative papers and various embellishments. The books are usually stitched together with hemp or embroidery thread.
Do I have to use my book as a journal?
Not at all! These books can be used as journals, sketch books, wedding guest books, or anything else you can think of!
How big are the journals?
Our regular journal is 6x9 inches. We also have a mini size, which is 4.5x6 inches. The larger journals have 72 pages.
